| | | Will Self Hello
i've just finished cock and bul by will self and read dorian by will self last month and consequently thought i would recommend both books to you all.
they are fictional books which are both funny but i warn you that they are also rather rude. cock and bull is about a man who grows a clit behind his knee and a women who grows a penis. its very well written and amusing. dorian is about a man named dorian who is utterly beautiful. the book focuses around the men who fall for him and also the rise in AIDS. both books are humourous yet intreguing and beautifully written.
any one else read them or any of wills other works?

| | | Has anyone read My Idea of Fun? I've been meaning to get that one for a while, but somehow it keeps getting bumped to the end of my list. Will Self seems like a very interesting author. |

| | | I haven't read any of his fiction, it'll have to go on my to do list. But I've had a collection of his essays/reviews by my bed since Christmas, it's great to just dip in and out of. I enjoy his sense of humour, quite dry and bitter which is just right for me. |

Will Self seems like a very interesting author. | It's the only one of his I've read. I can't remember if I finished it or not. It didn't really grip me at all, but I think I quite liked it, if that makes sense... when I made the effort to read it, I enjoyed it, but it took willpower to get round to reading. I'm not sure if that's how I'd feel about all his works or if i's just that that one wasn't so good...
I like his writing in the Independent.
