a lot of people who have experienced near death or death talk about this, but they typically don't even use the word "hell". they just describe it as something, a place, that they were aware of, and very much wanted to avoid. it seemed most of them were able to bypass it, but were aware of other souls being trapped there.

nope. i've skimmed through the odd page or two in hotel rooms because there's ALWAYS a bible in every hotel room (do other countries do that?) so i've probably read the first ten pages or so, but that's about it.

i did have a children's version of the bible when i was little though. no idea who bought it for me - certainly not my parents. but i read a fair bit of that. it was basically a simplified version of the bible. it was okay, i think i just treated it like historical fiction at the time. which is probably about right.

Is there a google translate type thing that translates things into funky modern teenspeak? Or at least a 90s version of teenspeak? Because I want to translate some bible verses. I remember Gary Numan saying somebody sent him a funked up bible in the late 90s and it had awesome lines along the lines of "Jesus said "yo, let's have a party, I'll bring the wine".

I remember back when lolcats were new and hilarious, someone started translating the Bible into it. Very obnoxious. I'd bet they got close to done before they realized it wasn't even all that funny in the first place, let alone now.

Of course it's a wiki.

Of course. The Brick Testament is genuinely awesome. And Lolcats bible is no less valid than any other.
