I have enjoyed a lot of Stephen King books in my teen years and I think they are very engaging. But I am not sure several generations later they will be studying his books at school.

I would however totally agree with the ascertation in the article that no one reads the Nobel Prize winners. Looking down the list, I hadn't ever heard of at least half of them and haven't often enjoyed the works of people who have won it who I have heard of. So clearly not resonating across the generations.

I did not know it was a million in moneys. I should start a staunchly European, heavy political, fairly impenetrable novel.

And the Americans got to make better movies. Can't they leave us Europeans to the poor man's sport of writing "better" books?
