| | Ulysses James Joyce's classic. Has anyone ever gotten through this? I really want to read it but I find it quite challenging. I'm not an English Lit scholar so please bear with me...I'd really love to read it though. |

| | | I tried to impress my parents by giving it a crack when I was about 13, but I failed miserably. It inspired me to try "Portrait of the artist..." instead, which was a much more rewarding experience. |

"stately, plump buck milligan... oh fuck off."

| | | its amazing
i recommend reading 'portrait' first
its easier, you get to know stephen more, adn you get the gist of joyce's writing style
ulysses and finnegans wake are both amazing
joyce is, in my opinion, definatly one of the greatest writers and thinkers of the 20th centry
