it just seems unnecessary, it's not his word to laugh about

if he had been using the word in some sort of social commentary. that might not be so bad. but in the context of the book, he could easily have replaced the word with 'asshole'

it's distasteful is all

ok then I totally understand why you took offence..in that context it is never ok!! but i didnt read it that way before but i'm glad you pointed that out.

i fucking loved this book. i made all my friends read it. i don't know anyone who didn't enjoy it. was a bit american psycho in places. like. the murder places.

i didn't think it was trying hard to be edgy

i thought it was a story set in a world the author knew, and was amusing and disgusting and entertaining.

his next book. is about GOLF. no joke or lie. but with added gangsters.
