| | | have you read any kurt vonnegut?
he's highly entertaining and easy to read without being mindless shit like the da vinci code (which is a good airplane read i guess, as it is interesting without being challening at all)

| | i haven't read any tom robbins.
i'm not aware of any vonnegut with camels, lol. although he has loads of books.
my faves:
jailbird
deadeye dick
breakfast of champions
slaughterhose five
bluebeard
cat's cradle
sirens of titans
god bless you, mr rosewater
there's loads more, and most bookshops should have slaughterhouse five or breakfast of champions.
ha, when i was at uni i systematically read every vonnegut book they had. one entire shelf
i can't remember all of them though, because he uses a lot of the same characters in his books, so they all sort of blend in my head lol. h's a genius though.

| | I don't know why my username seems familiar- I was "CounterfeitV" on the old kittyradio boards for years.
Check out Fante, seriously. He's a hidden treasure among American authors. |

| | It's sounds familiar, but I get people's usernames mixed up so easily that it's tough to remember. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
