It occured to me upon reading Ophiel's thread in 18+ that I'm more likely to find myself attracted to literary characters because, unlike in tv and film, the focus is mainly on the character's personality, rather than their appearance. I can never seem to find a guy attractive based on appearance... with the exception of Mr Malcolm McDowell!
Some of my fictional crushes:
Alyosha, the monk from The Brothers Karamazov. FORBIDDEN FRUIT haha. I just found it refreshing the way he was so innocent and good and virtually devoid of corruption, bless him.
Snape from Harry Potter. He needs to be comforted. By me tbh.
Also kind of fancy Fred and George?
Andrew Bolkonski from War and Peace. Yeah, the emotional detachment is kind of off-putting at times but you just want to REACH OUT to him, like.
I can become a bit of an Ophelia around Hamlet...
And come on, is there any girl who doesn't go weak over Mr Darcy?
Maybe I'm just SAD?
