Interesting argument. One of the reasons I was having trouble drawing parallels is because I didn't really see one...other than the nurse & emilia both being "help". My prof claimed that the nurse appeared stronger than juliet & I never quite agreed...especially since I have been studyinig romeo & juliet hardcore since september.
You've actually helped a lot, Bort. LOTS. xoxoxo

Not that anyone cares but I used the "extremities of love" and the "extremities of hatred" to support a half assed argument. GO ME.

Do you think if I ask her for a bonus mark for giving me an exam on my birthday, she'd give it?
I'm worried she'll deduct one for being so cheeky.

is it about the tick list for a play to be called a tragedy? the argument being that othello should not be classed as a tragedy like romeo and juliet because it doesnt tick all the bits of the list

the list is something like this; and has something to do with greece (??)

you have to have pathos for the character
the tragic hero's best attribute is their biggest flaw
the tragic hero must realise how stupid they are by the end of the play
+ more stuff....that i cant remember

so you can argue that othello maybe isnt a proper bo tragedy like romeo and juliet because it didnt follow the tragic hero rule book that some bloke from greece wrote.

worst. explanation. ever.

edit: doh, i didnt read yr post properly, you have already had yr exam! so ignore my confusing useless semi advice
