Bleh. I read it to earn my right to hate it. But wound up liking it.

I feel like more people would have been more receptive to Solanas if she had spoken in more general terms. By saying "ALL MEN are ______", "ALL MEN _______ do this" she wasn't opening anyones eyes to their actions. No guy is going to take something like seriously. And if the motive is change, or if the motive is equality, how can you acheive any of that if you're being so volatile, and accusatory (which probably isn't a word, but it goes along with what im saying).

She made a lot of good points though. I ended up really liking the book. I wish she hadn't been so intent on man-hating though, cause she was veryyyy bright.

Anyway:

Books I can swap-

On Writing by Stephen King
Rose Madder by Stephen King
Everythings Eventual by Stephen King
The Dark Half by Stephen King
Hearts In Atlantis by Stephen King
Black House by Stephen King/Peter Straub
Bag of Bones by Stephen King
It by Stephen King (shit condition)
Carrie by Stephen King
The Dark Tower: The Gunslinger by Stephen King
(etc. etc. TONS of King)
Metaphysics: Constructing a World View by William Hasker
Seven Types Of Ambiguity by Eliot Perlman
Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbitt (Guilty...)
Siddhartha by Hermann Hesse
Cold Mountain by Charles Frazier
A Spiritual Path to Higher Creativity by Julia Cameron
The Collected Poems Of Emily Dickinson
Literature: Structure, Sound and Sense by Laurence Perrine
The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald
A Million Little Pieces by James Frey
Running With Scissors by Augusten Burroughs

I will update this list later, when I look through the other bookcases.

Bleh. I need a fuckin' sub.

To whoever it was that repped me, I didn't even know there was a movie!

I thought you may have been talking about "I Shot Andy Warhol", (which was wonderful from what I've heard). But then I checked imdb.com. It got a 7/10, so it seems like it's at least worth a shot.

Im gonna see if I can find a copy of this (looks hard to come across).

If anyone's seen "Scum Manifesto", please tell if it was shit or not?

Wow I forgot I started this. Books are good. Kesh lent me a book and I liked it. So much that I accidentally packed it when I was filling boxes for uni. Oops.
