| | | Anthony Kiedis Scar Tissue Thoughts?
So I decided to pick up this book having read excellent reviews, and I have to say it's a riveting read.
He had a sublimely fucked up childhood and a big drug problem spanning years and years, but what stood out for me was his obvious inner strength and creative integrity.
I'm not the greatest chilli peppers fan, apart from blood sugar sex magik which I think is pretty good, but I have a new found respect for their music now, having understood what certain lyrics and melodies were about.
I thought they were just a bunch of frat boys with wealthy parents and a wake board lifestyle, but it couldn't be further form the truth.
If you're looking for a good bio to read pick this up, it's moving and sobering, very honest and caustic. |

| | | I love this book. Its refreshing to see a famous person actually being honest about their life. I read Slash's autobiography and i was SO disapointed because i just know he got up to some very debauched things, but didnt even scratch the surface in his book.
Anthony tells all and he says it really beautifully too.
He just split up with his girlfriend, mother of his baby which is sad. From the book it seemed like he really longed for true love, but was never able to hold down a relationship for one reason or another...i relate to him a lot in that respect. |

| | | I bought this book in the airport sometime and couldn't put it down. As you both said.. it was really honest. You should try reading Chrissy Amphlett's book Pleasure and Pain.

| | | I agree with the comment about how much love and warmth he had to offer and his constant intuitive feelings for certain women he would meet and instantly feel he could be with for the rest of his life.
It's a shame he just broke up with his current partner. Wasn't she that gorgeous young model (I know goes without saying really!) but I forget her name right now. |

| | I used to be a huge RHCP enthusiast, but this book and their last few lame attempts at albums have turned me off them.
I now realise that he has an overinflated ego and is completely selfish. He didn't grow up in an under privileged environment, he hung around rich celebrities and stayed at chers house ffs.
'can you please inform the Dali Lama that Anthony Keidis has arrived'
