songs my mother taught me - marlon brando
desert flower - waris dirie
the long hard road out of hell - marilyn manson & neil strauss (although any rock bio strauss has helped with is good - see for example the dirt, the motley crue book)
prozac nation/more, now, again - elizabeth wurtzel

| | | I appreciate all the titles, everyone! This is great. I'm on a real bio kick!
Petals: I'm putting "songs my mother taught me - marlon brando" near the top of my list, he was an interesting character... also, I thought I'd read everything on the beatles but I'm pretty sure I don't have 'the love you make'. I'll pick that one up, too!

I'm reading the Warren Zevon biography I'll Sleep When I'm Dead. It's pretty fascinating, I didn't really "get" his music until recently but this book is pretty intense. He had a CRAZY life |

| | | The Zevon book was a really good read. It took me a while to get used to the format: how it's written from several different perspectives. It's got tons of info about the era and other artists and 'characters' that I found really interesting, too.
