i am hoping it was go on like come on and not go away haha | Oh, that was me and yeah, it was encouragement... I was quoting Father Ted and as I clicked "submit" I realised that not everyone will have seen Father Ted/get that reference and I felt a bit stupid... It was meant nicely! Quote:

I'd like to join in but I'm not sure if its worth it. Like as I made a whole thread about and don't want to sound like a loser again but is it hard? | Try and read it, and if you give up, you give up. It's alright. Quote:

| | | After the first few pages I'm happy. It has that Japanese style to it, very simple but seemingly profound. It seems quite westernised in style also, like Murakami, a mix between east and west. |

I should say, I'm moving house tomorrow, so I'm not sure what my internet situation will be like over the next few weeks, but I'm looking forward to discussing this.

| | | Just to let you know, after tonight I won't have the internet for about a month, unless I can steal wireless from my neighbours, so I won't really be around.
I expect flourishing discussion though. Go!

| | | i was surprised when in the beginning there was talk of transgender lifestyles, I definately did not expect that in japanese literature. I never really saw that before.

| | | I have finally finished reading the Kitchen section of the book; is anyone else ready to discuss the book.
I was a little surprised by the transgender character and then also the complicated relationships in the book. |
