I saw Angela Davis speak last night at a Minnesota University and it was really, really amazing. I'm not entirely familiar with her work though--other than the bit she wrote for Assata Shakur's autobiography.

If anyone has read her books and would like to recommend a good place to start, I'd appreciate it. She has written a lot and I don't really know where to start--other than I think that I'd like to start really soon.

Funny thing is that I have it lying just next to me right now!
I bought it long time ago but never read it, my bf borrowed it recently.

I'll read it someday.

I can't recommend since I've only read bits and bites myself, but I am totally jealous that you got to hear her speak. Her writing on prisons is fascinating.
