| | | David Sedaris Does anyone else here like David Sedaris? I don't really know much about him (well apart from what's in his books!) I picked up Dress Your Family In Corduroy and Denim randomly in a 2nd hand bookshop, mainly because I liked the title. I'm reading Me Talk Pretty One Day at the moment and just read the chapter on his creative writing class, very funny.
I really can't read fiction anymore, I'm addcited to biographical writing, must be cos I'm such a nosy person |

| | | I'm a big fan as well. I actually got a chance to see him do a reading in person a few months ago which was a huge thrill. The best part was the Q and A after the reading. Mainly because the questions asked were so dumb and his responses were classic. Fan- "What's Amy doing? We love Amy!" David "What's Amy doing RIGHT NOW? How should I know?"
He also talked about how his publishing company wants him to write a full on novel (not short stories) and he doesn't think his natural writing style will ever allow him to. |

| | | i read 'naked' and i liked it a lot. i tried reading 'dress your family in courdeory and demin' after that, but never really got around to finishing it. i feel it's kinda like you've read one, you've read them all. but all the same, he's pretty fucking funny.

| | | I love him. I've only read dress your family in courderoy & denim & me talk pretty one day, but they were fantastic.
Though, I looked like a bit of a spazz, laughing at a book on the train, several times. |

| | | He's one of my favorite people around. I definately prefer his short memoirs to his fiction, though. Naked made me laugh & cry on a plane to Arizona a few years ago. I get emotional.

| | | I'm reading Dress your family in Corduroy and Denim at the moment...it's brilliant, really funny. He reminds me of Augusten Burroughs a bit (who I also love) I'll have to read some other stuff he's written. |

There are a few gems on youtube, like the one matrixfrk3 posted. I could spend hours searching and listening. Well, I have spent hours searching and listening.
