Vanity Fair
I have to admit I've only watched the film version of this but I was reading some of the commentry today, Becky Sharpe is described as 'amoral' but I found myself quite liking her. It may have just been her portrayal in the film but I saw her as more a victim of circumstance than a cold hearted manipulator. Though a bit of loyalty to her husband wouldn't have gone amiss.
