he's such a bad writer, but i came across the victor/jamie/bobby **** scene tonight and have jerked off a bunch of times.

it's nothing special, but bobby tells victor to show him his asshole, and then says something like "that's a nice pink butthole, man. you want me to **** it with this **** huh?"

i think it was the "man" that did it for me. and i started thinking that bret probably says stuff like that during sex. i get hard everytime he uses the word "dude". because it's the vintage, west coast, new wave kroq usage.

not the fred durst revival usage that is so common now. courtney started saying dude because of fred durst. how many times did she say it on the LTT tour compared to celeb skin tour. something like 0:250. she never said it pre-1998. and most of you picked it up from courtney.

i also like how victor gets pressured into taking bobby's **** without a condom. nice touch.

ive read some ellis interviews and he seems like a mildy cranky guy and probably doesn't have much tolerance for rubberheads himself.
it's the really nice guys who leave you for dead after they **** you that bother me. the guys who treat you like **** from the start are okay as far as im concerned.

I never got his books, I read 'The Rules Of Attraction" and "The Informers" but I didnt get them. Like, they werent really stories, well the informers didnt seem to be one so much. Like it was little snippets, a few characters were connected. Can anyone explain what he was trying to do?

are we talking about B.E.E'S sex scenes, or people using the word "dude", or the fact that he seems like a bit of a jerk?

as far as his books go, the two most recent really the only ones with actual storylines.

killthelastromantic, that's pretty much the point of his books. almost all of the characters are connected in some way, and their lives don't have much purpose. it's just nameless sex, drug abuse and decadence. i love it. it's all miserable and depressing. i love that his first few novels don't really "go" anywhere.

& i've said "dude" since i was about 14, i'm sure of it.
