Comics!!!

Anyone? I don't know if it is really a comic, but I recently picked up Bizenghast 1 and it is really good so far. Our local comic book fave keeps a list of what we want so we can just go in and buy if we are too busy to look around. The boy loves Conan most, but we have boxes and boxes.
Who do you like?

bizenghast is most def a comic. i'm glad you like it, i was thinking of picking it up but all the reviews i've read about it said it was pretty boring.

me personally, i read a lot of manga because i'm that geeky

I love the avengers. I collect most of the marvel british reprints, (astonishing spider-man, avengers united, essential x-men etc etc) and usually buy ultimates TPB's and the like. I also coolect the battle royale manga.

I just read Black Hole by charles burns (i think, it's him)

oh fuck is that a creepy, bleak, depressing piece of work.

I'm too careless for comics though, I only buy them once they've come out all together in a big book.

I only buy Batman and related books (Robin, Catwoman, Nightwing). But I haven't been keeping up with things lately.

Well it could've been worse. You could've lived in Ireland where we pay almost three times what you do for your comics due to the costs of importing them.

The high prices prevent me from getting my dosage of nerdiness.

i also really liked the 1602 series.

mystique is a good time too.

and that's about all that i've ever read/liked.

i collect birds of prey, runaways, im gettign bored of the x-men stuff now.

i think either nextwave or kabuki are my fave marvel stuff. the she-hulk comics can be funny. also loving joss wheden's astonishing x-men, theres something very appealing seeing emma comotize cyclops (sorry any cyclops fans) is comotize a word?

lenore is awesome i just love that cute lil dead girl.

i usually pick up stuff with poison ivy or harley quinn in. i pick up some of the panini reprints too, but i like the older reprints cause ive read all the new stuff.

hey cactusrob, youre a friend of ben williams arent you?

If you ever come across Cat Claw, pick it up. You will be blown away, i promise...if you're into cynical, smart-ass, gen x superheroes that is.

Usagi Yojimbo, but you kinda have to read the graphic novels to truly get a feel for it.

Scud: The Disposable Assassin was an excellent book, but could be hard to find today. Had a cliffhanger ending that was never completed. Rob Schrab went on to create the concept for the new movie "Monster House."

Next month's main X-men books start with all new writers and artists, so I think I might get into them again.
