margaret cho

has anyone read any of her books? what did you think?

she has to be one of my favorite comedians and i've been listening to her all day on myspace then i found out she'd written a few books and it totally struck my interest as something to look into. i've read a few of her blogs which, when she's being comedic, cracked me up, so i imagine her books wouldn't disappoint.

i've read

i'm the one that i want

&

i have chosen to stay and fight...

the first is tied in with the one woman show/movie - biographical anecdotes and the sort. humor and seriousness. auto-biographical piece about overcoming alcoholism/drug problems and finding self esteem - and commiting to living and being oneself.

the mostly a collection of blog entries that you can find on her site - www.margaretcho.com and i think it mirrors the myspace blog... some of which are expanded in the book & some may not be avail online - i'm not sure

both worth checking out if you're into margaret, for sure

i second the person above me. both are very good if you like her, but i suggest "i'm the one that i want" first.

i really liked her as a comedian but i found her book 'i have choen to stay and fight' not really that funny and kind of mediocre.
