| In The Presence Of Royalty - Poem. I'd like some criticism on this. I think it's okay, but I know it could be better.
I wrote this after contemplating life, watching Alice in Wonderland and listening to White Rabbit by Jefferson Airplane on repeat. While I was on LSD. The day I met the queen of hearts,
Is one I shant forget.
My sister said "We should not part",
But never would I let,
That stop me from what I did do,
From playing 'neath the stars.
From looking for a simple truth,
But wandring much too far
(DOWN)
I saw a cat, a smile so bright,
The sun could finally rest.
A man or two with quite a plight,
Their minds not at their best.
But then I saw the queen of hearts,
The crown upon her head.
Re-arranged with mismatched parts,
All misconceptions shed.
(DOWN)
Alas, my name's not Alice,
yet I went down the rabbit hole,
And once you cause such malice,
You'll see no grassy knolls.
(DOWN)
So listen to my screams,
And listen to these words,
This nightmares never ending,
It's not fun to be disturbed. |
