| | | The Secret History-Donna Tartt I finally finished it. Hurrah
I had to review a book right in the middle of reading this one so I got distracted but Ive done my work and now finished The Secret History. What a fab book. Im now reading Lunar Park, and with that I think my brat pack boredom has sunk in. Give me gay pulp please. But not if I have to review it. |

| | I looove looooooove the Secret History.
Are you not enjoying Lunar park? A couple of people I know started reading it & then stopped not far in because they thought it was too arrogant. Persist with it though, it gets much better. I persuaded these people to keep reading it & they all ended up really enjoying it.
I plan to read it again some day, my shitting ex boyfriend lost my copy though |

| | | I looooooooooooved Secret History. So much so that a friend gave me an unedited proof of The Little Friend. Which alas is vastly inferior. |

| | | i agree about the little friend. i actually found it kind of boring, but i love the secret history. i just recently re-read it for at least the 6th time.
you don't like lunar park? it's a weird book, and not like his others at all. i love it though. but then i'm basically a b.e.e groupie, so i may be a little biased.

| | The little friend is seriously my favourite book ever, but I can see why lots of people prefer the secret history over it, I guess it can be a little dull at times, but I'm so in love with the characters & scenery in the Little friend |

i read the little friend a second time, and liked it a lot more than i did at first. i still prefer the secret history though.

| | | i once got 'the little friend' confused with 'the secret history' and almost bought it. thankfully a friend informed me of my error, told me how crappy 'the little friend' was as we waited in the queue, and we left the vicinity immediately.
i look forward to reading 'the secret history' when i find it.
as for bret easton ellis, he pretty much sucks. so don't feel like it's your fault that you don't like his books. |

i think lunar park is his best book actually. i mean less thanh zero was my personal favourite, but i think Lunar Park is his most 'complete' work...ahem. |

| | | Once I started reading The Secret History I couldn't put it down, I read it in a few days. I have been reading The Little Friend for about 2 months, it hasn't gripped me in the same way the former did. |
