| | | Book Crossing Has anyone ever found a book from BookCrossing - The World's Biggest Free Book Club - Catch and Release Used Books I've registered and released some books around my borough from there but I've never found one of their books. I think its a nice idea though, because books should be passed on and read. |

| | Your thread reminded me that I had wanted to sign up and start looking for books. So now I'm signed up, but I've been in a reading rut lately so I'm not looking for books yet. I think it's such a good idea; I'm glad someone started it up.
I also got invited to goodreads.com. Is anyone here signed up for that? I just joined today. It's an online community that is centered around books and book reviews.

| | | I've "released" seven books now and I know at least four of them have been picked up... so far no journal responses. I'm patiently waiting. I have another three to release as soon as I can think of witty places to put them. I might put The Devil and Miss Prym on my local catholic church's wall. I'm stuck with what to do with a book called Gagarin and I. I don't really know how to hide a book on the moon. I'm quite taken with the idea of hiding books in the supermarket- mostly because it would be really trippy to find a book buried in the apples, and they wouldn't get rain damaged- but knowing my luck I'll blatantly be arrested for shoplfiting due to acting shiftily by the onions.... | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
