There are so many out there and I really want to read one, but which one is the best? Please recommend one!

Thanks in advance!

Saint Morrissey by Mark Simpson is quite good.

The best and most detailed book is Morrissey & Marr - The Severed Alliance by Johnny Rogan. Much of it focuses on the Smiths and not so much on Morrissey's solo career but if you're looking for an in-depth account of his childhood and life before the Smiths, then you need to read this book.

Saint Morrissey is ok but the author seemed a tad sycophantic to me. It's a decent enough read though, and has more on Morrissey as a solo artist. The Pat Reid book didn't tell me anything I didn't already know, I can't remember what its title was though. There is another Smiths book by Johnny Rogan called The Smiths - The Visual Documentary that is quite good with loads of photos, etc.
