| | | I fucking love that man. I cried when he died.
I have most of his books, though a lot are hard to find. had to have someone steal screwjack from the salem library. oh well.
before him, I hated politics, (well I still do) but he made it interesting to read. weird.
have you seen where the buffalo roam? I need to get that. I only saw it once, it was alright, no fear and loathing in las vegas but good anyhow. |

The great Hunter S Thompson, I have read Fear and Loathing In Las vegas, The Great shark hunt, and his letters. first time i read anything i just sat there stunned and exilarated.
I know that there is a documentary in progress, i look forward to it. |

or just refuse to buy until we have all the others. ie: fear and loathing in las vegas.
i did an ethnography report on hells angels in anthropology 2 semesters ago. my teacher actually suggested it.
hst was great. i was going to do a commemorative speech on him, but my prof nixed the idea. |

| | Hunter is my favorite writer of all time as well. I had such a massive crush on him and his fabulous mind, and his death was devastating to me (I am also working on piecing together a fitting tattoo tribute).
For some of his harder-to-get work, check out http://www.alibris.com
Might I also suggest viewing the original vhs release of Where the Buffalo Roam? It's harder to find, but the newer vhs and dvd releases couldn't get the rights to the film's original soundtrack, which was all written and performed by Neil Young. |

yeah I'll probably get the vhs. it's worth it just for that.
is the curse of lono even possible to find without going bankrupt? seriously. I thought screwjack was hard to get, not even close. |

Anyway, I'd only read a couple of things before he died, and loved him, but after he died I felt like I was bandwagon-jumping to buy his stuff.
We studied him for my university course last year, which was the most interesting class in the world.
Love him.

Since Depp is executive producer, they have to wait til he's finished with the Pirates of the Caribbean stuff I think.
I like the Rum Diary. The Curse of Lono is awesome too. |
