An Unquiet Mind, by Kay Redfield Jamison

Has anyone read this? I'm about 1/4 into it.

A friend loaned it to me. I never really read it. Just skimmed through different sections. It seemed interesting, I guess, but, also, seemed to glamourize mental illness.

I have it- read it years ago, only once. I read it after reading Elizabeth Wurtzel's Prozac Nation, and Sylvia Plath's The Bell Jar and Journals, and Salinger's Catcher in the Rye.

To be honest I was bored by this book and don't remember it being that good. I'd have to reread it (not gonna happen) to give a better opinion on it. I might be willing to send it to someone just to get it off my overcrowded bookshelf.

I can't remember why I did not like it but, I did not. Another book I totally hate is Go Ask Alice. Buyer's remorse.

i don't understand how this book became a bestseller. i've 1/2 way through it and i fee like i'm still in the first chapter. as a memoir, its not very interesting i guess. it reads more like a factsheet than a book.
