Has anyone read this?

I have a copy of this now..I've read a couple pages. It looks intense..Anyways..thoughts? opinions?

Epic, but very difficult. I read so much about it before I actually read it and I thought I might not enjoy it. But i did. I dunno, its a tough read. But if you see the meaning Goethe is going for there its probably the most profunnd book ever written. Of course that's very debatable. But it will definitely change you if you conquer that motherfucker.

Which version do you own? I've read Marlowe's "Doctor Faustus," and the Goethe stuff. My friend is attempting to force me to read some Heine particularly "Der Doktor Faust" but I despise germanic translations.

I'm not sure which version I own..I'm at work at the moment..I managed to find a cheap, used copy in town so I'm not sure of the quality of the translation...
