My boyfriend was saying he does fairytales in a similar but less literary way than Angela Carter - is that about right? There are elements in Coraline that feel very familiar to me in a fairytale sense, but... I think how my boyfriend put it was "It's like driving down familiar roads but not knowing where you're going".
What's your favourite of his books?

i agree, it is an easy read but i still would never be able to read it in just one day! you crazy!

Recently, Bonjour Tristesse, the Catcher in the Rye, She Bop - some kind of history of women in rock, pop, soul, jazz etc (that I got for 10p from a library sale wooo) and a teach yourself ethics book. Not all in the same day though. |
