Riding In Cars With Boys...

so i'm absolutely falling in love with this book.
though at parts, i admit i want to cringe.
but then i still want to keep reading the book.

i like the storyline. i like the way beverly gets straight to the point and doesn't linger on in descriptive details all the time. she describes just enough and not too much.

i'm the opposite. i never knew the movie was based on truth or that it was an autobiography first. to be honest, when i'd see it i'd just pass over it, but the book has made all the difference in the world to me on wanting to see it and compare. i can definitely recommend the book, though.

yeah you should watch the movie afterwards (and hope it doesnt ruin the book like some movies do, though doesnt sound like this one is like that).

i knew it was a true story but only because i read it in the credits.
thanks for the recommendation!

i will definitely check it out. sometimes i like books to movies like legally blonde. which i didn't know was a book first either until a few weeks ago but it's both a good book and movie as well.

i have one question about "riding in cars with boys" (without trying to be all 'spoilerish'), in the movie do they have the character 'bam bam'?

eek. oh well. i liked bam bam.
and i love them both, but i do agree the first is better.

and i stick to the theory that the first in any series in books and films both usually are, but i still keep an open mind wouldn't wanna miss out.

xoxo
