| | | I read it a few years ago and I thought it was really amazing because I could completely relate to it, but that was probably based on my feelings and situation at the time. I keep meaning to read it again to see what I'd think of it now.
I think Elizabeth Wurtzel is a really good writer and I can't really think of anything I didn't like about the book. The movie was shit though. |

| | | i'm an avid hater of this piece of tripe. i cannot stand wurtzel, her whining OR her writing. it's clear this dipshit didn't need medicine, she just needed to get the crap kicked out of her.
the movie was shite too. one of the worst.

| | | Hmmm. I thought it was terribly difficult to read because she was really selfish...but alas, depression is a very selfish illness.
I thought the book was good, but I've read something else by her that was horrid...I think it was Bitch, that's her right? |

| | | I didn't even know they made a movie of Prozac Nation.
I read the book. Thought it was interesting. I think I was expecting a little more because before reading it, a friend mentioned it was a "must read". |

| | | I liked it. I don't think it's a timeless work of literature but I found it enjoyable to read. I prefer it to the bell jar, but that's probably based on my personality. I related to it at the time. |

I've read her other two books and I keep meaning to read that one but every single time I'm at the library I forget to look for it. |

speed does wonders for depression, by the way. |

speed does wonders for depression, by the way. | she wrote 'bitch' while addicted to cocaine & ritalin.
she then wrote 'more, now & again' about being addicted to cocaine & ritalin while writing 'bitch'. |

| | | I liked Bitch, I thought it was interesting. There were a lot of interesting stances and angles on the issues she covered, it wasn't like reading a women's studies textbook. I liked More Now Again, too. But I'll admit I see how her writing can be "love it or hate it". I'm not going to support her as being one of the greatest all time writers but I really enjoyed her books. |
