I have a bad feeling this book is going to come off as a long argument on behalf of her now tired-ass persona. The same way all the authorized Love-Cobain books have been. I'm not saying she has to be over her problems, but the "epic tragedy" thing has worn the fuck out. In all her records, she stakes out territory using herself, and her sort-of legend, but in her last record she just kind of pointed arrows at herself and figured that was fascinating. The way she thought people would give a shit when she finally wrote a love song ("I'm gonna write a love song!") was cringe-inducing. How about writing a GOOD song instead?
I'll read it, I suppose, but if it's as shit as the scribbles in the liner notes of America's Sweetheart I'm gonna be pretty disappointed. |

I doubted I would get a personal copy but thought they might have posted it on the web somewhere.

I don't want to get my hopes up to much about the book because it could end up being like Kurt's journals. I mean even though that was an interesting read, it was abit of hype over nothing really, just a few 'notes to self' and so on. |

Offered here is a PROMOTIONAL PREVIEW BROADSIDE of DIRTY BLONDE: The Diaries of COURTNEY LOVE, as researched and edited by Ava Stander. This large-format broadside is unread in mint condition (no marks, etc), and it contains a total of 8 glossy pictorial pages (includes the covers), and not the whole book (which will be published in November).
