worst book you've ever read (or been forced to read)

okay. my worst books are: notes of a dirty old man by bukowski and adventures of huckleberry finn by mark twain.
i hated them.
and i had to read them for school.
now its yr turn. tell me what books you just couldn't force your way through. or were forced to trudge through due to an assignment.

wuthering heights and lord of the flies, they may be classics but I found them to be incredibly dull.

that horse whisperer book. i was bored one day, saw it sitting there and though "oh why not?" there was nothing else to read.
what a bad idea. cheesy, bad, boring, yuck.

this fucking faux punk book, i can't even remember the name, but it was obviously self published and ripped off the early black flag years. you know, dorky kid gets asked to play in his favourite hardcore band and has roadtrip adventures then recalls it to a child on a plane or some shit.

so fucking bad it made me want to die.

Eek, surely you can find something worse in literature than The Great Gatsby, Lord of the Flies, and The Catcher in the Rye? I didn't like Wuthering Heights, but it definitely wasn't the worse book I ever read.

I was tempted to nomite The Bell Jar, but meh.

The Jane Austen Book Club was HORRIBLE. Absolute rubbish. I can't believe anyone published that shit. I've read better PAPERBACK ROMANCE novels than that book.

This is my personal least favorite of all of the books mentioned in this thread so far that I have read, although I haven't read 'The Jane Austen Book Club' or 'The Stone Angel'.
