give me the lowdown. clotty & i went into the craft store the other day - whilst heavily hungover & delirious & it was a weird experience. like we had to be over 50 to enjoy it. none the less i really want to start making shit. so tut tut.

knitting. we purused the 'knitting' aisle & i have to say that i was just agephobic in it. i know it's hip now. but the pattern books made me want to kut a lil.

my mum does it the most, she doesnt use a pattern book, she makes scarfs and i sell them. we did see a book of patterns for jumpers for dogs which we may get for giggles

oh that's right you own the shop. do you sell crafty things by other people? i'm big into one of a kind.

My mom knitted me two really cute scarves, but thats the only thing she can do because it consists of a straight line. I tried and all the little holes on mine were different sizes and it looked awful and curled at the end. And it was like 3 feet too long.

I made a purse once. I don't have patience to attempt anything else though.

I would love to be crafty but I just don't have it in me.

I always wanted one of those bejeweller things when I was younger. I'd probably just end up with those little jewels stuck in my finger or something because thats how uncrafty I am.

i used to craft way more. i like doin collages and things. i sold some things i made while i was at college, all at applique and embroidery and shit but i'm mostly too lazy to do stuff properly.

i like to make fabric covers for mix cds as gifts, they look pretty sweet

Tigz, is there a Michaels or Hobby Lobby where you live? They have cool crafty things and a lot of it you don't have to be a pro to make. It's been awhile since I've been in one, but they had stuff to make your own stationary/cards, or candle-thingy's or things with beads. I don't remember what kinds of things with beads, I just remember all the packages of pretty beads. You may have to invest in a glue gun if you don't already have one.

I used to sew when the babies were, well, babies. Curtains, quilts, pillows, dust ruffles for bed...etc.

alot of my stuff is handmade, i was going to make t-shirts to sell as i made some for myself and people loved them...i'm just too lazy to do it

I took knitwear last semester, you do it on a machine.. i didn't see the big deal.
I prefer weaving. I have a loom but its been a while. I only get arts and crafty for assignments.
I want someone to teach me how to crochet clothes like my great gran did.
Ohh, I have been feeding my vintage button addiction pretty hard lately and started getting into art deeco bakelite belt buckles to start making my own. haven't got that far yet. like these:

it was back when the 80s were only just back and everything was poofy and lumo and plastic. they were fun

i've just this year started knitting. i made three scarves out of really chunky wool... one of them was a bright pink that i really have no use for,
and the other two were tufty black and cream that turned out pretty much exactly like this:



i also knitted a sort of case thing out of multicoloured pastel eyelash wool and a really soft baby pink wool, i keep my cigarettes and makeup in it. i just knit for the sake of it and occasionally end up with something of utlity
