I just did an Olympics discussion group at work for the schizos locked away from the outiside world and by schizos, I mean persons with schizo-affect disorder n/s.
Mainly it was historical doping scandals, including everyone accusing 16 year old Chinese lass Le of cheating at swimming faster than the mens.
I haven't kept up, what are the UK and Ireland medals lookign like, (here's assuming Ireland might actually get medal, probably at horse jumping.)

BleedingHeart, Britain won gold in the rowing yesterday and silver for equestrian, which equals 10 medals altogether, inc 2 golds. Currently at 12th place.

Ireland have no medals

I went to see the football yesterday - it was really good.

I'm going to the handball on Wednesday - tickets were only 20 quid and it gets me into the Olympic park, so I will spend all day looking around and soaking up the atmosphere, plus I quite like handball.

I gave some beach volleyball tickets to my sister and niece because she really wanted to go, and I might be getting some athletics and/or tennis tickets through my tennis club but have to wait and see.

On the medal front for scotland (GB!) murray is looking really good, destorying almagro in his QF and there are only two players better than him in the tournament so should be on for a bronze at least!

I'm super excited. As always. Though on work nights I have to stop watching around the middle of the day.
Though NZ isn't going to get to Sports Illustrated's generous 16-medal prediction without some big surprises. But still, golden oars! Our good sport. Rowing. Joy.
