are being put in this morning, in the parking lot. i happened to walk by & flipped it off, then saw how close it is to my window.

i asked the man installing the cameras if my window would be seen, cos at night, with the light on & window open, you can see in. & it's hot, i'm smoking weed (& other things i don't want recorded) in a long tee shirt.

he looked at the screen, came back & told me it was close, but, no. like a foot away. i'll have to remember not to smoke weed in the lot.

he also said he hates the cameras, but needs the job. he's about 20 yrs old. still remembers privacy. kids now days will have no idea.

& it bothered me that i was told it was to keep away "bums". a lot of these people are mentally ill, cos i give them fruit & jackets & talk to them.
this one woman, Jennifer is nice! i like her. she's homeless & screams in the middle of the night. so sorrowful. i'd scream, too, if i had to live like that.

are they the kind of SC that are able to pan around? id be creeped out/annoyed if i were you, even while clean living.

Its sad that we have gotten to the place where there is so much crime and fear that everyone has to be watched. Privacy has gotten lost but its the evil that people do to one another that has caused it. On one hand we want to come and go in relative anonimity and on the other we want video to solve the crime when our car/house/shop is robbed.

I know when I was attacked a decade ago video would have proved my assault was premeditated, not a spur of the moment decision. My offender may have spent more time behind bars.

I'm sorry your space is being invaded Angel. I doubt its about the "bums" as much as it it to keep an eye on tennants. I'm a landlord and we can sure be uncool about our property sometimes .
