So, here we are, on the earth. Third rock from the sun, orbiting a star, in a solar system. One of which solar systems make up a galaxy, in combination with intersellar dust clouds and star clusters and dark matter. There could be up to a hundred trillion stars in one galaxy.
And guess how many galaxies are in the universe?
About one hundred billion.
And here we are orbiting one of those billions or trillions of stars in one of those hundred billion galaxies.
And that's the observable universe, basically just what we can see.
So it's big and I thought it warrented a thread, inbetween misfitcult taking poops, Clotty moving and Aaron spazzing out. Just one thread.
It kind of freaks me out, the size of the universe. Get's me thinking about aliens. I am certain that there must be other life in the Universe, given it's size, the amount of stars, and that even in this tiny solar system, there is us, and we think there may even be life on Jupiter and Saturns moons also. For me, it's just a question of, given the size of the place, will we ever meet?

The size of the universe. And the size of the stuff in it.
First time I saw these size comparison stuff vids on youtube I was because it went on and on. It's making knots into my mind, I love it.
There is also not only the size and distances as a problem but also time. Place is old. Maybe the hightime of lifeforms has been hundreds of millions of years ago. Maybe it's hundred of years into the future when mankind doesn't exist anymore.
