i know, i've made a lot of HELP, LIFE IS HARD threads - but this one has the added bonus of trying to do a nice thing for a good person! so please bear with me.

i have to buy a wee thank you present for an education person who has been really kind and good to me and probably, humanity in general.

i enjoy making presents a bit thoughtful and normally never have a problem with this - i can do some things myself! - but i usually buy gifts for women. what are you supposed to buy for a man you are not close to?

i don't want to buy him a pen or something, he is not a person who would like that. his main interests are: human rights law, international law, arguing for scottish independence and obscure legal humour. he is really good, honest.
