• lived with my parents for far too long while applying for PhD funding.
• got PhD funding! It is perfect for me but very daunting at the same time. I feel like there are a lot of expectations.
• travelled around eastern Europe for a month and visited some places I'd always wanted to go to. Sarajevo was even better than I had hoped and I want to go back to travel more in Bosnia. But..
• next holiday will be visiting my travel pal, who moved to Copenhagen to do her architecture diploma.
• moved to Sheffield, big improvement on York, a good decision that KR helped with!
• met Jarvis ****er, managed not to openly drool.
• helped put on a Ladyfest that got lots of fun people together for activism fun and dancing. Amazed by the amount of money we managed to make for Rape Crisis.
• broke up with boyfriend of nearly three years.
• continued heartbreak.
• going back to my old counsellor in the new year to deal with re-emerging parent issues & self-doubt.
• shadowing a module next semester in preparation for teaching. I never imagined I'd get this far.

started the year in a three way gay relationship.

ended the relationship because one wasn't worth my time.

moved into a nice big house with a yard with my pups and eventually the other of the three way relationship who i remain close to became my house mate.

joined the gym, lost some pants sizes, and got back into pretty good shape.

survived my first horrible winter ever. it snowed from november until may. i hate snow.

became social again and started dating and making friends in my new city.

joined grindr and scruff and started meeting the type of guys i love. big, manly 7 ft tall guys.

my best friend committed suicide at the beginning of september.

my world kind of fell apart after that.

i have started to seriously dislike my job, because of a coworker.

here i am.

• started the year with a random hookup-turned-three day love-in with a very talented australian gentleman five years my junior
• visited home, felt weird and out of touch
• visited my ex in los angeles. extremely intense. also on that trip saw mark wahlberg and came in my pants and had my first in-n-out burger and came in my pants again.
• had a bizarre love triangle with two good friends. everyone except me got hurt. not awesome.
• had something of a meltdown when it came time to decide whether to stay in china. started pulling my hairs out again. then stopped.
• way too much cocaine.
• had an extraordinarily dull but relaxing summer
• started meeting dudes online. 3/5 have been extremely cool.
• had the most amazing intercourse of my whole life with a canadian of all goddamn people
• then the canadian very abruptly packed it all in and moved back to canada. traumatizing.
• fell even more in love with my students. i feel like i have twenty babies and they're growing up and it's amazing and painful all at once
• had my first three-way. sweeping generalization of the day: chinese girls don't know how to go down.
• turned THIRTY and really i've never felt more attractive in my life
• spent the last night of the year wearing the highest heels i've ever worn. bought these beautiful ****ing shoes on sale three years ago but could never actually wear them. well **** is real now.
• holy **** i can't believe it's 2012.
