i'm not in that deep, yet...

my reasons stem from text messages and girls that are way too into boys (my child has lots of friends both boys and girls but these girls like being around my daughter because the boys like being around my daughter). the one girl that i gave a second chance (i am fair) came into my home saturday walked into my kitchen, opening up my cabinets and refrigerator and treating herself to my food and drink. she also walks into my daughter's room and goes through her drawers when she goes upstairs to use the restroom. that's not how i do. (this past saturday she sent a text to little's best friend, a family friend, from little's phone that said 'I WANT TO **** YOU DOG' (all in caps) as well as some other not so okay with me texts. this ***** is 13 and a month. i feel like i have good reason to push her away. the other one has no boundaries at home and a mom that has the 'not my kid' mentality. so, besides school and an occassional birthday party they have no outside involvement.

am i wrong? my kid isn't 13 until july 17th.

HELP ME!

I had parents thinking that I was horrible when I was that age I know that your girl has manners and what not but I would like to voice that most of the time when I was **** on my friend's parents it was something that both my friend and I were involved in and the parent's only ever heard one side of it. Same goes with friends of mine who were banned from seeing each other (only they got caught drinking when they were 10 haha)

In the end I turned out okay though and it was all just part of growing up.

technology has a funny way of proving things. i'll be the first to admit my kid is doing something wrong and call her out on it.
she's a little ***** sometimes. i also understand it being a part of growing up and some of it is healthy growing.
certain things aren't acceptable. certain things aren't up for debate. especially when her safety is involved.

i can tell the difference between a good kid and a not so good kid. usually as soon as i meet them.
i also do give a kid a chance or 2 first.

Isn't this one of those things that doesn't have an easy solution?
Obviously, the best solution is to educate her enough that she drops them of her own accord.
And, if she's seeing stuff from them that's unacceptable, then, she's already started down that road?

That's probably going to be the best long term solution.
Short term, yeah, just keep her away?
Because, at least then, you're minimising the chances of unacceptable **** happening.

Medium term though, she'll get sick of the control/ perceived control, and either just ignore it, or worse, do the opposite?
You need to teach her how to spot this kinda thing for herself before then.
Which means, you need her to grow up?

Yes/no?

people are raised by people who have different ideas about what is acceptable. it sounds like she was raised in a barn and needs to learn manners. if she knows your rules, throw her out when she breaks them. banning her will probably not do anyone any good.
