Help me not be a socially awkward tool..

so this dude invited me to his show & was all "hey im gonna put you on the guestlist" BUT I was planning on going to the show with one of my friends. Is it gross to ask him to put her on the guestlist too? I would just feel rude if we showed up there and I pulled a "WELL IM ON THE GUESTLIST SEE YOU IN THERE GURL LOL". But I also dont want to seem like Im just trying to get my friends in for free.

Im neurotic, help.

yes it's gross. guest lists are usually limited. you get the free entrance & the friend pays at the door is the best way for this to go down. money usually goes to the band anyway...

or you could offer to split the price of the ticket with your friend...depending on how close you feel to that person. whenever jill or i would get on a guestlist, we would do that.

but asking to add another person is definitely a no.

That is definitely what I do if I have a free ticket or something. I think you especially have to do that if you have asked the other person to go with you; if they were definitely already going and then you found out and wanted to come it would be less important. But if you suggested it, would be v rude to then be like "Well I'm not paying, have fun with that!"
