I once played poker for 52 hrs straight (Ted Forrest has knocked out 100 straight hour sessions)...it can be done. I don't know... some people just have mental endurance, others have physical endurance, some people have both, and then there is someone like Charlie Sheen or Elton John or Stevie Nicks who has to call in the Colombian reinforcements...

Trust me when I say there are few things in life more agonizing than a multi hour "cold streak" in poker cash game (especially when some of the chips are exchanged for bills) lol

i don't even want to bring this up, because this thread is so epic by the first post alone, it really should have just be closed up after that.

i was being sarcastic about the yacht. it's in reference to a quip by mfc in the tsunami thread. and wizard is really ****ty and he may/may not also be user creez. someone needs to tell him to go away.

i don't do coke anymore, sadly. but i just... push? i have to work, i have to go to school, it's not really optional. i can't just say "i'm tired, i'd rather not". i've sunk 10,000$ of my own money into school, if i don't finish it, it's just money lost. and if i don't work, i can't pay for more school or life.

but it's not all that hard.
like tonight, i've been watching Catholic anarchist anti-nuclear sermons from Jonah House, for 5 hours, and transcribing parts/noting up relevant bits for this giant presentation i'm doing tomorrow for the local chapter of the american historical association. i find them to be incredibly moving, bright, fluid, so they're not a hard listen (to me). here, you can watch one i particularly like; Elizabeth McAlister who's a badass nun from the Civil Rights Movement who went and got married (to a priest/poet) and has been in jail countless times for breaking into military bases to slit her own arms over nuclear warheads and then beat the **** out of them with hammers, as a literal interpretation of the book of Isaiah (the blood, symbolically relevant, the hammering, scripturally relevant and practically serving to render the warhead unusable, and therefore unable to be launched, killing civilians).

i'm kindof a giant nerd and overachiever. i think that doesn't come across on kr anymore.

i'm usually doing things like this (reading, transcribing, noting, writing) while doing kr, or while working overnight, at the same time i'm kindof watching top chef in another window.

i have however, been singing "juicy va-gi-nah, va-gi, va-gi, va-gi-nah" in my head all the meanwhile.

transcribing the story of Simeon in the old testament, and singing a tranny song about tickling her vagina with a beard.
