So I just found out that a guy I went to HS with has made $15 million + in the real estate market since like 2000. That's crazy. I mean when you are in HS you never envision anyone becoming a multimillionaire. I certainly never gave it any thought. I'm glad he is doing well because he was a nice guy. It's just kind of surreal kind of like finding out the guy you played football with is dating a supermodel.

Does anyone else have a story like that? like post high school/post college...quick and massive wealth?

my mate from film society at college went on to become a world famous hollywood film director. his gf from that time, now his wife, is his producer. they did that inception film that everyone loves so much. they are obviously fabulously wealthy, but i don't think they sleep with supermodels.

whereas i languish on the internet.

i have a friend who is already moving to france later this year to work on a film he wrote. and he just inherited a million from some dying uncle.

he's only a few years older than i am.

of course i never pay for anything when we hang out.

oh and he just bought me a david lynch signed photo thing.

i'll be poor with my david lynch autograph.

fail.

i dont think i know anyone super rich from hs. who made their own money, that is.
