that's it right there.

there's a reason we haven't had kids yet. because we don't want them any time soon. and yet we seem to have acquired one!

and it annoys me that i'm getting so annoyed about it, because i am absolutely NOT a neat freak OR a nag, and i feel like he's turning me into one. i'm fine with the kitchen being a bit of a state for a couple of days or whatever. it's more the fact that when someone does eventually go to clean it up, it's never him. EVER.

At the end of college a roommate decided I should pay his phone bill, so he ran up the long distance bill to $300 dollars before he left. His affluent mother and sister lived next door, but they didn't feel obligated to help me get reimbursed. Ethics and morality often run in families. He became an import/exporter.

A similar thing happened to my daughter. she took the utility bills in her name, so when a roomie went back east to his affluent family he just "forgot" to pay his share. My daughter who is totally independent and worked for minimum wage had to cover it or have the heat shut off.
