its all bull**** really.

i know food is meant to be served from the left.

and consequently i serve everything to people from the left whether i'm passing them dinner or the baby.

i used to always just say, "i'm good".

when asked how i was.

and then, i just randomly started saying, "i'm well".

which, to me, still sounds awkward.

but now, i actually get people scoffing at me.

or when i say "i'm well, how are you?"

they'll reply back, "i'm... good".

and they'll emphasize "good".

as if to say, i know it's proper to say "well" but i'm not going to sound like a tool. like you do.

and i always want to tell them: "i used to say 'good', too! but now i don't! i just decided to start saying 'well'!"

it's always a lose/lose for me.

no matter what.
