Gimme reasons why bees would be attracted to a cup of Pepsi.

OTHER THAN THE FOLLOWING:
1. They're attracted to the sugar
2. They're attracted to the color of the soda
3. They're attracted to the color of the cup
4. They're attracted to the saliva on the rim of the cup.

My bio professor wants us to THINK LIKE A BIOLOGIST!!! and come up with reasons for why the bees would swarm the soda cup, and then possible experiments you could do to test this theory.

Those are the four I've come up with so far, and we needss a total of six. So really I only need two.

I know with y'alls combined brain power can help me come up with something. I'm so brain dead.

Short of the bees work for Coca Cola and don't want you drinking that ****in pepsi. Which I just might put down.

The smell of the soda? Can bees smell? I think they can.

Does Pepsi smell??
And what smells different than Pepsi?

Maybe fill a cup with perfume?

Perhaps because, it's set somewhere the bees think it shouldn't be.

Soda has a smell, but I don't know if different sodas smell all that different. Bees are attracted to perfume and smoke, so I assume either it's the smell or a chemical. Maybe they are attracted to the CO2 in soda? If so, they'd also be attracted to anything else carbonated.
