ok. i've never participated in Black Friday before, but I think i'm gonna try this year -- motived by the coupon lady in that other thread, and life.

so, any tips?
other than the obvious: come early, be prepared, have proof of all coupons or ads, etc.

the best websites to ad-spot?
stores that have insane 2am power hours or whatever?
or is black friday even the best day to go, or is that just a myth?

don't bother. the prices aren't really better on black friday for MOST things... except those like 2am specials when there are tons of people, and even then it's usually **** you don't need.

I work at Target. I gotta be at work at 4:45 that day.

I second Brooke's post. If you want the items that aren't as top notch as they could be, then go for it. And if you do go for it, and get swept up in some kind of mob madness only to fall down and get trampled...grab other people's legs and take them down too. Saving $50 on an older tv isn't worth dying for.
