| | | Ring them, explain it hasn't arrived and ask if you can collect it there instead. It happened to my friend last year and they were fine about it. |

| | | they charge outrageous "convenience" fees as well.
and if you go to a ticketmaster "outlet", basically in a kroger or wherever. you can only buy tickets within your allowed area. apparantely i am not allowed to go see a show in nyc b/c i live in the south. or i am incapable of doing such a thing according to ticketmaster.
they can suck a big one. |

| | | oh god. i was suffering the same drama today.
check and see if it says "will-call" on the site you purchased them from. that means they'll give you your ticket at the venue. nevermind that i paid an extra $3 to have my ticket mailed to me. bitches. and their site is no fucking help either. the only answers in their FAQ section involve ways to sell more tickets. and of course they don't have their contact info posted either. only numbers to learn where and how to buy tickets. and they spam your email with advertisements.
fuck ticketmaster. i'd boycott them, but i need my music.

Thank you for your email.
I have checked your booking and your tickets have been printed and dispatched.
We have to allow as much time before the show to allow your tickets to arrive.
If you have not received them by tomorrow (Thurs 15th June) contact us again and
we will organise duplicate tickets to be waiting at the venue for the card
holder to collect.
Unfortunately, we will not be able to assist you any further until then but
please do not worry as we will be able to organise entrance into the event.

ticketbastard still sucks though. | They've been doing that since at least 2001-2002. I was trying to get tickets to go see a band all over the midwest, and they had to call and do some kind of bizarre clearance thing because I wanted a ticket to a show in Detroit, MI. It was bullshit. I think they do that to encourage people to use their website, as the convenience charges are higher on the website.
They have relatively large regions in the United States--mileage-wise. For example, I could go into a Ticketmaster outlet in Minneapolis and buy a ticket for a show in Chicago with no problems. Someone in Chicago could buy a ticket for a show in Detroit with relativley no problem. BUT if someone from Minneapolis wants a ticket to a show in Detroit, that's a little tricky.
It really sucks. Especially if you are planning to travel to see a show...Ticketmaster is pretty shit about getting tickets out on time, so I generally like to go pick them up physically and have them before I leave instead of waiting for the mail and having to call them and jump through flaming rings of fire to get will-call. |
