why do you need a qualification to be a bar tender? you just apply at a bar and try not to act like a dick at the interview.

it's a bit more complicated than that. if you want to sling beer to the toothless rednecks and rockabillies for quarters, you can do that. but, if you want a job at a more upscale place making good money, bartending school is the way to go. it is the only way you will get hired. well. around here it is like that.

I don't think we have anything like that, and most of my friends have or still do work in bars, two in four star hotels, so not dives. he gets sent on courses every now and again but they sound more like **** ups than anything important.
