Mikey, you're lucky/smart, as well as proper prepared.
The m-i-l's inherited and never used, big Buick has been garaged w/no drivers ( except sometimes we're backing it in & out to make room for other cars, f.e. ours or JB's sister's ); ever since The Colonel ( f-i-l ) passed away about 22-ish months ago.
Natural consequence = teh battery is tits-up allatime. Gee, wonder why... Widowed Spouse cannot figure it out, bc "That car was NEW!!"
Omg. Poor bewildered woman gets right cranky about that.
JB & I bought a mucho-buckage, huge, srs business Battery-Charger-Type thingy some yrs ago, specifically for those snowy below-zero scenario winter nasty weather in Iowa. It rly works pretty well, too.
Howsomefuckingdever: now we have to go over to his mother's house every few days to plug the damn thing into The Late Colonel's bloody car, to try keeping that enormous Buick's battery at least more-or-less functional. JB & I are trying to plan a sneaky way to drive that land-yacht of a car around & put some fucikng miles on it, just to gett a decent (we hope!) battery charge into it. ACK
But lolol: JB's mother refuses to believe nor understand "Why or HOW that would even help the battery work!!".
Just in case tho, we've bought a brand new battery for it. Bc I
mean...!
Sympathetically yours--
AND hoping youe cold/virus gets better speedily
Chyia
P.S., It'll prob be some $$, but do you by any chance have something like "Roadside Assistance" on yr car insurance policy? -- OR, a warranty on your car battery perhaps? J/W; best of luck!
