| | | I need help... ..thinking of an object that conveys a sense of well-being, support, care and protection..and I need to bring this to an interview...so it can't be like a tank or a condom or anything,
many thanks in advance

it's for a graduate programme with a healthcare company, I want to get on it as they will pay for me to get the qualifications that I consider necessary to run my own business properly, and then I will leave.
but it seems par for the course now to make you sit about 4 tests, fill in endless situational and competency questions, sit a phone interview, go to an assessment centre and give some horrendous presentation. very un-me so to speak, but it needs to be done.
I dont get the point because if i was shit at the tests I'd get a mate to sit them, and anyone can answer a competency question.
"one of your colleagues is refusing to do what you ask, what would you do in this situation Mike?"
"well Rochelle, I'd bend the bastard over the table and fuck 'em, it's part of what I like ti call my direct management approach"
you can tell it's doing my head in can't you? I need to go back to charity work.
end rant.

makes me think what a cool song happiness is a warm gun is.
cough medicine was weirdly the first thing I genuinely thought of and me mum giving me it in some awful attempt at strawberry flavour.

| | haha, yes possibly. I honestly can't think of anything. The cough medicine idea works quite well, you know it is there when you need it. The best Ive got so far is a box of plasters.
does my nut.
and my mum wouldn't come and she doesn't convey any of those things...

| | | sure any old woman would do, specially if you pay her. that way you can get her to dress all mumsy and simper at you.
but in all seriousness, the medicinal route is prob the best option so far. that or a teddybear. |

I know some smug prat is going to show me up on this one. maybe it's an initiative test and I've supposed to undercut the whole process by refusing to particpate?

| | | could you bring something personal?
now i live in holiday camp style uni halls when i do go home i find the blanket we keep on the back of the sofa the best thing in the world?
it just makes me think of sitting infront of the fire playing with my cat and watching tv and not worrying about anything.......because here i dont have a sofa or a cat or a front room or a tv....

| | | I'd thought of a blanket, it does fufil all the requisite criteria, comforting, supportive, reassuring etc. the only guidance I have is that it has to be an object, so within reason anything goes,
cheers for the help guys, I'm not very good at stuff like this
