Last week I was working on the door at a club and this boy really wanted to get in for free. He said he had no money on him and started offering to put me on the list for a night he was running. I told him that the only thing I wanted in the world was tickets to see Leonard Cohen in Brighton on Friday. He told me his dad was on the same record label as him and that he could sort it out so we swapped numbers. He actually came though and I spent Friday evening watching Leonard Cohen in Brighton with a friend for free.

A couple of weeks ago, a firend of a friend of a friend was working for wire magazine or something and got animal collective to give me tickets to this festival, i saw them, jesus and the mary chain and the breeders for free.

A lot of other bands played that I didn´t care to see but I must mention, acess to animal collective´s dressing room meaning all the booze in the world!

it's not luck per say but we had an alcohol hoopla at work for children in need and I won a bottle of barcardi, a bottle of jack daniels and a bottle of gordons. felt guilty and gave the gin back tho.

i'm also lucky in the fact i had to sell my shares in barclays as i needed the money for something else, literally the next day they went into a tailspin they are only just coming out of. was purely luck i traded them when i did.

This is irrelevant but... Tho I work in the stock market, I don´t get this share thing, to me it´s like a world sized casino and it´s all gambling rather than investment?
