Two weekends ago, some friends and I went to a party after some serious drinking. It was at the house of an old college friend who'd I've really admired over the last few years; he's really active in the Dem. party, his public speaking skills are insane and he's just really fun to be around.

So we walk in, I'm piss drunk, but I have my shit together. He asks me "are you down with Tina?"

I pause.

Immediately, being a big power-bottom, pushing 28 homosexual, I respond, "Turner? Of course."

Everyone looks at me like I'm the biggest tool in the shed.

So apparently Tina = Meth. I SO DIDNT GET THIS MEMO.

Now, look, Ive had my fair share of drugs, most of which I have loved. I have never tried, or have any interest in trying Crystal Meth. I was shocked to see so many of my peers there, all of whom have great jobs, are all well educated ... and I realize addiction isnt selective based on educational accomplishments or socioeconomic status ... but everything I've ever seen on Ice has always portrayed it as something that's mid-western, poor ... like something Dotty would do.

I know, I was naive.

So are any of you down with Tina? Fess up.

ew. that drug is just disgusting. i understand your shock. i almost cried when i found out my cousin was taking it. i don't think she does anymore though which is a relief.

i had no idea it was called "tina". is it called that for any particular reason? when i first saw the title of the thread i thought it was going to be about tina turner as well, haha.
